We have named our trees. Three of them are named after the fairies in Sleeping Beauty, the crape myrtle is Amanda after our cat whose ashes are buried at the base, and the last two are Woody and Groot.

Well turns out I will probably not be getting labs drawn tomorrow because I just realized my referral for that doctor expired in Dec. and I didn’t think to check before tonight. To add to the fun, my PCP is no longer in the practice (was suppose to go on sabbatical in May but was gone end of Jan.)

Forgot to mention I have hEDS, MCAS, and POTS plus Long COVID.

out the hives on my infusion arm, she very calmly got up and let the nurses know I was having a reaction to the iron sucrose. Hoping for good news from Friday’s labs. First full blown allergic reaction I’ve had in my 46 years.

No explanation from my hematologist (the infusion center is at his office). He didn’t premedicate me (I probably should have asked about that). I made my allergist aware and she prescribed me EpiPens. Thankfully I had my mom with me at the infusion. She’s a retired RN and as soon as I pointed …

Hematologist put me on a 125 mg iron supplement that I’ve taken every other day since December. Having lab work on Friday to see if it has done anything. 🤞🏻

Lab work last year showed I was iron deficient. Hematologist scheduled 2 iron infusion after oral iron supplement didn’t raise levels (I have POTS and my cardiologist says this is common). Had anaphylactic reaction about 5 mins after first infusion infusion ended so 2nd infusion was canceled.

Great! The first 2 seasons recently were put on Netflix and the 3rd is currently airing on SyFy (and is probably on Peacock, too).
