Since my last post, I quit my social media job and became a 5th grade ELA teacher. It’s already been an incredibly rewarding career just one month in.
Yes there are long hours and it can be stressful, but sometimes a student will bring homemade tamales because I mentioned once that I love them.

I saw a stack of 9 common NES games listed on Facebook for $75. Couldn’t be right, I thought, so I price checked using @contricode.bsky.social’s Ultimate Nintendo app. I thought they were maybe worth $50, tops…nope, $117.93. Sometimes I forget the $2 cart days at Game Exchange are a distant memory.

Oof. Hello, ether! I posted a gloomy thing the other day but I’m okay. Things are going alright. I just typed a letter to my mom, updated my long dormant substack, and read this wild comic (pictured below). And my shoulder is healing nicely - and isn’t cancerous. Choosing happiness today.

Stumbled upon this Twilight Zone Magazine from 1982 today at an estate sale, featuring a screenplay for an unreleased Richard Matheson episode. As a major Matheson fan, seeing some of his writing in its original magazine print and not some compilation is a grail to me. I am shocked I found this.
