One other thing, Kempton was known for a bold jumping grey (Dessie). As was [recently] Haydock.
Bristol De Mai never took to Kempton (25l 6th and an F). I think Royale Pagaille is definitely a Haydock specialist and whilst he finished a modest 2nd in the KG in 2022, I don't think the course suits.
