Man who doesn't like greyhound racing says so, also says horse racing is a sport.

Racing social media goes into a meltdown....

What has happened to the Budbrooke Chase at Warwick? It was usually a decent class 2 handicap.

Not on the card today?

When will the EC revisit the EU-US Data Privacy Framework?

Will that adequacy decision last the length of Trumps administration.....

The Jockey Club telling racecourse bookmakers that due to a "private function" there is an additional bookmaker (not on the list) in tatts at Warwick on Saturday.

"Private function" aka JCR initiative...

Leicester City prediction.

Transfer window - no one else to come in (in addition to the right back)

Ruud - will walk by the end of February due to the management of the club and being misled during his recruitment.

Relegation - unless a miracle happens (Man City points deduction)

Just like the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase, triers to the front for the Champion Hurdle.
As the starter calls it in Ireland, triers to the front.

Bookmakers expenses.

This is the daily betting badge for one specific day at an unamed course (and it is not a festival meeting).

2022: £240
2023: £270
2024: £300
2025: £390

Thats a 62% increase in 3 years...

Trainers and payment for interviews - eggs on faces.

I think they probably realise its bad idea but they are in too deep.

Will there be further digging, or will they back down by Sandown?

Theres the bar for tatts. Good thing it isn't a busy day.
January 25, 2025 at 12:11 PM
❗️Cheltenham - no bar facilities in tatts on trials day including the sales ring ebar.

Jockey Club Racecourses are clueless.

If you were turning up today as a customer and expecting facilities to be open on a big day, would you think twice about coming back?

These "rumours" about RVN leaving Leicester 🦊

They are not rumours, they are mere speculative punts based on the fact that:

a) he has walked out of a club before because of how it is run; and

b) our club is very badly run

If you were to price it up it would be very short...

Servitude - we brits are big on this aren't we?

Why can't we be more like the French?
January 23, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Is this an example of servitude or a belief in the magic money tree?

"We shouldn't tax millionaires because they will leave"

So do you tax everything else more to make up for it?

"No"

This also reminded me of when the Horseracing Betters Forum alienated key stakeholders in horse racing by complaining to the CMA, only to be told that there was nothing wrong.

This was after a previous chair had called the same stakeholders crooks and other less favourable terms. 🤷‍♂️

Is there a chance that the Gambling Commission could be facing similar action? You can only hope.

Attendance at Cheltenham for Trials Day is expected to be lower (forecast 19,400) then last years (21,000).

In other news the main bar downstairs in tatts (Winning Post Bar) is closed due to refurbishment.

Surely you would have done it over the summer...🤷‍♂️
