Far too enthusiastic and somewhat obsessed with running 🏃‍♂️.
Fairly quiet online but appreciate a good post.
Anaesthetic registrar in the WoS.
At least it turns before the steepest bit!
That aside - this looks kinda fun and tempting to do at some point...

Absolutely- I always underestimate how much snowsports burst the legs!

Chambéry is better described as a cattle shed than an airport though

No more running injuries please! 😳

I was quite lucky that a colleague who gets them was on a shift with me really soon after the first and explained it to me!

It’s also possible I induced some slow wave activity… 😅

Finally, the EEG changes are very different to our usual TIVA agents and Narcotrend index was unreliable. (I assume more beta/delta power cf. alpha/delta with propofol). This would make a lot of colleagues uncomfortable if using NMBDs and require extra EEG training. (3/3)

26% of propofol patients having bradycardia seems a lot. I suppose the question is - problematic HR or just a bit lower than reference?

They also gave flumazenil if remimazolam pts had delayed emergence (only ~2% pts to be fair) - not sure I'd personally be comfortable giving this routinely

I feel like anecdotally 3mcg/kg fentanyl at induction could cause delayed emergence in children for such short procedures (45 - 50 mins)

I also don't know how many children in a routine day would tolerate induction taking place over 1 min (2/3)

We had the same entrancing clouds up here! (Was also out like a moth to the sunlight)

Agree, although also intrigued recently by seeing combo of TCI propofol + dexmedetomidine infusion to allow easier opioid titration during TIVA. Just guilty about the cost of dexmed so wonder if same is achievable with clonidine
