Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

General advice for oral advocates (not only Sauer): The goal is not to win debaters' points or to stuff in as many answers as you can before an interjection--it's to have the sort of conversation you would have with a trusted, wise friend or colleague if you were actually trying to convince them.[7]

A broader point: don’t let people tell you SCOTUS level issues only show up in some kind of special case. They’re everywhere, and if you litigate knowing that, you can bring them to the fore.

I can't wait for these arguments in my household.
Talking to the 5-year-old about the election tomorrow has backfired spectacularly because she asked if she gets to vote, and I explained to her that she needed to be 18, and she is now crying and vigorously arguing that you should be allowed to vote “whatever age you are”

Minimal duty: voting to send a new Democrat to Congress (and, we think, someone more energetic and less reckless than some of the party's leaders).

A SCOTX with multiple former SCOTUS clerks is trying to become more like SCOTUS. (I'm agnostic on this specific change, but I personally like SCOTX more than SCOTUS as is!)
SCOTX has pulled off the bandaid and proposed going to a single step Petition process.
Huge changes for your Texas

Thinking a lot about this today, combined with the Bannon interview comments about a third term. Really forces one to think about their role in our attempt at democratic society, huh?
Trump: "We can never let what happened in the 2020 election happen again. We just can't let that happen. I know Kash is working on it, everybody is working on it. And certainly Tulsi is working on it. We can't let that happen again to our country."

Corporate donors are helping Trump demolish the White House—so he can rebuild it in his own image
With corporations funding Trump’s new East Wing ballroom, influence in Washington has never looked so literal.

Seems like horizontal stare decisis protects the judiciary from being overly political. A look at SCOTUS's increasing disrespect for its own precedent should make that obvious.
