So I applied to this ODOT Urban Mobility Office Director job figuring I'd be insta-rejected but made it past the first screen!

What qualifications do I have to direct widening highways to reduce congestion? None, but neither does anyone else!

Bikes are great but what about when you need to go to multiple grocery stores for #carfree Thanksgiving supplies? Can't do that on a bike can ya?

It'll forever bother me that on a Saturday at 11:15AM it takes 18 minutes to bike down Dot Ave, the exact same amount of time it takes to drive the same exact 3.5 miles.

What's incredibly frustrating though is that getting rid of cars would make that trip even faster for people biking! Sigh.

Neighborhood greenways are anti-bike infrastructure & only serve to move cyclists off main roads & onto residential roads leaving the main roads, which people still need to bike on to get to their destination, dangerous. Greenways are a waste of resources & align with Portland's decrease in biking.

Leave it to PBOT to harden a bike lane with a concrete curb and somehow make it worse by putting the curb inside the bike lane. 🤦‍♂️
