It seems like “Southern Baptist” could be replaced with “Low Income Population Rate” and you would get the same graph.

Yeah, my sense is that every state has an entrenched set of property appraisal mechanisms that would be very difficult to unwind.

I guess the Georgists are mostly YIMBY but I don’t know if the YIMBYs care about George. There’s a single post from years ago on CalYIMBY.

I’m dealing with fallout from “too many increments” rezoning that happened 10 years ago. Zoning push got way ahead of rents and financing. Now we’re stuck with unbuildable inefficient heights locked in, speculative land ownership on low tax uses. Very un-Strong situation, and no housing built.

These are the scapegoats that either do not have elections until 2028 or are retiring. This is a Schumer/Jeffries setup.

A big blind spot in these takes is that you see “the voters” as sets of people who like some things and don’t like other things, and you understand the job of Dems to be balancing one polled issue against another. That isn’t how the other side has been operating in decades…

Judging by the follows and responses, people aren’t actually returning to X. The real users there are being replaced with porn accounts, spammers and bots, with the smattering of hard right trolls there for the lulz.

There is some kind of organized paid campaign of “liberal” free press clones that will die on the hill of “anybody but Mamdani” because he’s “too inexperienced” and then, after 20 posts, turn around in the footnotes and say “I didn’t vote for Cuomo.” It’s bizarre.
