I don't really understand what you mean in terms of people not noticing it? In my commercial environment I haven't upgraded yet and don't use the CLI too frequently.
Do you know of a repo where they do it this way then? Would be interested to see how they overcame some of the doubts I have.

I replied to the full RFC on the style guide and there was a lot of thoughtful feedback on there from a wide range of developers as to why this wasn't a good change. It isn't just resistance for the sake of resistance, I'd argue that it is change for the sake of change, chasing ease-of-use blindly.

Great piece. It will be interesting next season if Burnley stick to their principles, they have a strong chance of surviving - Forest have shown that how a desire to defend well can be a point of difference.

But you're right that the same 17 can just keep strengthening and going again each season.

Awful.

Presumably the same reason they are distancing themselves from what the song is obviously about. No idea why though.

It is clearly about Morrissey.

Is anyone entertaining that 2026 might be a farewell tour? I can't shake the feeling I got when I first saw that t-shirt with the 15 albums, and Marc Burrows writing that they aren't in any danger of stopping feels like a jinx.

A proper "Best Of" would be good.

For the tour, I'd love Marlon JD.

01. Charli XCX - BRAT

I didn't enjoy Crash as much stylistically, so I was thrilled that Charli managed to break through into the mainstream with a record which is true to her roots.
BRAT is deeply personal, well-produced, stylish and crammed full of bangers; and arguably a cultural landmark.

02. Los Campesinos! - All Hell

The standard themes of alcohol, football, self-pity and heartache are all present, and the usual cutting wit, but LC! also return with a real fire and anger this time. It is refreshing when so many bands steer clear of politics. The songs are thrilling and catchy.

03. The Cure - Songs of a Lost World

Probably my favourite Cure album. Robert Smith's yearning vocals are timeless. The heartfelt lyrics cover aging and mortality. The instrumentation has room to breathe with long intros, creating an atmosphere to match the songs - haunting, beautiful and dark.

04. Beyoncé - COWBOY CARTER

Packed with great tunes, incredible vocals and fierce lyrics from start to finish, 27 tracks doesn't feel long. The covers and guests are thoughtfully chosen. Bey hasn't so much created a country concept album, she has torn the genre up and made it her own.

05. Adrienne Lenker - Bright Future

I have always loved Lenker's songwriting but usually prefer her work with Big Thief... however this record might be her best. It manages to combine some of her most personal and affecting lyrics with a sense of fun and accessibility.
