Simple DC motor using AA battery, piece of wire and a magnet. The interplay of magnetic field and current will cause the wire to spin due to Faraday's Law.

Simple electrical generator made from Lego to light up LED.
- Winding made from ~300 turns of 0.25mm enamled wire
- 2 x neodymium magnets 15 x 15 x 6 mm
(approx pull weight 5kg each) mounted on central rotor.
