Video games. Movies. Nerd stuff.
The past week I've gotten weirdly into game speed running on YouTube. Amazing that people are still finding ways to break games that are decades old at this point. All the Zelda stuff is wild.

I'm terrible at Lumines....but my god it's just some good vibes.

Another reason to buy Dispatch.
"Maybe AI is a creative solution if you aren't a creative person" - Dispatch devs take a firm, refreshing stance against AI www.eurogamer.net/maybe-ai-is-...

Just want you to know that when I asked Geoff why he gave the silent treatment to an open letter written by his own "future of games" program (& co-signed by 3000+ industry peers), he replied:

"Because that's my show and nobody gets to tell me how I should use my platform". 💀💀💀

I don't know about you guys but I'm super pumped to see YouTube basement dwellers pick apart all the Zelda movie stuff because woke.

I'm guessing it was too late for Dispatch to make the cut when it comes to game of the year nominations, also, everyone forgot about the Like A Dragon pirate spin off. :(

I normally loved a good podcast preamble. But an hour into the latest Blank Check and they've spent a ridiculous amount of time talking about Mark Wahlberg. A man not even in the movie they're discussing.

Managed about half the first episode of Future Man before bailing. The main guy is such a bad hang. Saying Mario games are shit while playing some awful looking Sci Fi shooter? Nah.

Dispatch is my new Game of the Year. Excellent stuff. Haven't been this hyped about a narrative game since Telltales The Walking Dead.

The first two interviewees in this Eddie Murphy documentary on Netflix are Dave Chapelle and Jerry Seinfeld. Utterly cursed.

Episode one of Pluribus was excellent. But I'll wait till I can binge it. Didn't realise Apple TV had jumped to £9.99. Im on a budget here!

Two episodes down and Dispatch is probably better than a lot of television I've watched this year. You can definitely see its Netflix Games roots what with its limited gameplay, but has some great writing and comedy. Big fan of Jeffrey Wright.

It's funny seeing people like Ian Dunt celebrate Mamdani's win when it's obvious that if he was running in this country they'd be smearing him as a Jew hating socialist. The man is thick as mince.

Heretic is tonight's film. Been meaning to watch it for a while.

Team Australia in Physical Asia are driving me insane. I hope one of the wrestlers absolutely batters the lad who keeps backflipping everywhere.

The wind is howling outside, which despite it being daytime is certainly adding to the Silent Hill 2 atmosphere.

Why does that Halo trailer look so janky?

Amazon Prime have added the Legend of Zelda cartoon from 1989. It looks an absolute mess. Proper VHS quality. State of it.

Embarrassed to say I once was a listener to Pod Save America. Learnt my lesson many years ago (pre Gaza genocide) where one of them proudly proclaimed to be a Zionist.

So far, games I want to buy that I've missed so far this year:
Absolum
Ball X Pitt
Shinobi
Doom The Dark Ages
Ghost of Yotei
Silent Hill F

Oof.

Instead of defending them because they have the same politics as you, maybe it's time to call out people on the "same side" when they do or say something problematic. Yes, I am talking about that Twitch drama.....

That's the Black Ops 6 campaign complete. I liked how they tried different gameplay mechanics in each level. From heist to a sort of open world driving bit. The only bit that was dire was the zombie one.
October 12, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Trying out that Black Ops 6 trial. Partway through the campaign and I just hit the worst level in the entire series. Zombies has never been a good concept for the series. Ever. And now they've poisoned the campaign with it. Awful.

First experience of a Call of Duty multiplayer in about five years (probably more). Predator, Squid Game and American Dad spotted. This is what the big multiplayer games are now, huh?
