Nico Hulkenberg on a 35-lap stint on the softs and P9: "Obviously not an ideal first lap, losing a couple of positions, which never helps your case. But we came back from that with an effective one-stop, quite a long stint on the soft. And it was a used soft. So it was nice to pull that off."

Should be an interesting driver parade at Interlagos with the guys from each team sharing what look like hot rods, with one at the wheel and one co-driving from the passenger seat. Hopefully we won't see a repeat of the chaotic Miami Lego race...

Lewis Hamilton frustrated by P13 and a tyre temperature issue in Interlagos qualifying: "Just couldn't get the tyres working. I think the execution in terms of the times we got out and everything was fine, it's just the rears are at a place that I can't get to temperature for the start of the lap."

Andrea Stella on Oscar Piastri's FP1 form in Brazil: "He's confident, his comments in the car, his comments in the debrief, go back to the comments where he feels the car, he is in tune with the car, and he feels that what he's doing generates lap time in a very natural way."

Max Verstappen on Brazil: "It's clear that we are not good everywhere yet, or at least let's say the best or whatever. So I hope that this weekend will be a bit different. It's a completely different track layout and behaviour. So we'll see what we get."

Lewis Hamilton on Felipe Massa's legal action: "I don't have a view on it. I'm not in touch with it at all, not reading about it. Nothing really to do with me. And whatever reasons that Felipe has, I'm sure he's got the conviction within him, and that's what he needs to do."

Oscar Piastri on McLaren: "It's a difficult dynamic to manage when you've got the two cars in the same team fighting for a championship that only one car can win, there's naturally going to be difficulties with that. I respect the team allowing us to both try and fight for the championship."

Liam Lawson on the Mexican marshal incident: "We're in a sport with a huge amount of variables, and these things, as much as they can't happen again and they shouldn't happen, there's always a possibility of something like this. And what's most important is that action is taken now to prevent it."

Solid Q3 financial results for F1. For the first 9 months (with fees from 17 races instead of 18 in 2024) revenue was up 9% from $2,285m to $2,498m, while operating income rose 18% from $366m to $433m. Fewer races in the period also means less payment to the teams, which benefited the income figure.
