Started season 2 of Arcane today. Forty minutes later I was restarting season 1 because I couldn't remember a damn thing about what happened.

One of my least favorite fantasy tropes used to be "the evil dark lord has returned after being vanquished generations ago," but now as I look out on a world where fascism is on the rise again, I can't help but rethink that one.

Something I was constantly told growing up is that it is better to be nice than to be right. Even as a kid I knew that was an idiotic rule of etiquette, and now as I look out on a world where people think Dems control the weather all I can think is that I was right, and I won't be nice about it.

So I guess this place is just Twitter, but without the Musky smell?
