I like to write, I don't do it professionally. I wanted to come here to post ideas that I'd like to put out through the ether(net).

I'm happily married, decidedly dull, and read less than I write, and write less than I watch (tv).

Is it still revisionist history when it happened yesterday? Or is it historical negationism? I can never remember.

Anyone know Malcolm Gladwell?
I admire people who are kind. People who care about others (even though there’s nothing in it for them).
I admire patient people who can still speak their mind. I admire people who are eloquent, clever, witty, and a little sassy (or a lot sassy).

These are a few of my favorite things.

I would love to see a world where a politician’s support of Transgender Rights was not a contrast take, or a defiant take, but instead the same sane and logical support that should exist for all Americans.

People who announce, “I’m a Grok guy!”

You didn’t have to tell us. We already knew.

Can we just swap over to the reality where @warren.senate.gov or @sanders.senate.gov became President?
Or maybe fast forward to @aoc.bsky.social’s presidency in this timeline?

I’d like to get off this seemingly never-ending train…

cost of shutdown to the US economy? 15 billion per week (originally stated as “per day”, twice, by Scott Bessent).

Cost of ACA subsidies extension: 350 billion dollars over ten years.

15 billion per day x 36 days = $540 billion dollars

15 billion per week x 36 days = $75 billion dollars.

People that are 100% “in” on AI are about to find out that the world’s full of exceptions (and you can’t train “flexibility” into the ethos of a bot).

Scrolling through Spotify, to try to avoid AI music (because I despise it) and I keep thinking to myself - why does this have to be so hard?

Where is the AI assist to remove AI content?

Also, if 100% AI-gen music (per Spotify’s rules) isn’t supposed to get royalties - WHY IS THERE SO MUCH OF IT???

I feel like AI is just going to create a lot of bland sameness.

Like social media algorithms- “oh you like this content? Here’s a bunch of it.”

It’s stealing the pleasure of perusing the old bookstore, the one with the monster movie magazines from the 70s and comix that open young readers’ minds.

I’d like to suggest that Robert Redford’s passing is not a tragedy but instead a great accomplishment.

89 years is a good life.

The ability to create and explore made it a great life.

When people pass - I’m sad because I’ll miss them but I’m happy (and I cheer) for the life they lived.

A bro-bot.
