Nonetheless, Clarkson and Legend absolutely understood the assignment as vocalists and sing this song like two people who have been eyeing each other up all evening and don't want to part. It's something a lot of contemporary versions of the song fail to grasp. 2/2

If I had to diagnose the cause of the "Bluesky malaise" as @kleinman.bsky.social calls it, I would describe it as a lot of people without the skills or resources or interest in journalism or activism mistakenly believing that being performatively miserable all the time will net the same results.

It's amazing how much fans ruin the thing they claim to be celebrating. I can't even say that this is unique to Arcane either.

So many contemporary singers miss the mark. Older singers have the theatrical skills to get the intended flrting across, but Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan actually sound horny for each other and it sells the song.

I'll have to read this later, but it's lovely to see this movie get some love. It's not only a wonderful film, but actually feels distinct from most Christmas movies which is a rare feat.

Cliff Richard seems like a nice enough man, but if Oasis and Nickelback teamed up to make a Christmas single I'd listen to that before anything Richard recorded. It's that bad.

Even Oasis has never sucked the life out of me quite the way ANTI-LIFE or JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION has.

I can concur. My wife has shown me the joys of watching bad movies, but it needs to be a certain quality of "bad". For every "The Room" or "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" there are fifty or so utterly boring, life draining slogs that feel like three hours when they are only 80 minutes.
