Do not cram alt text with keywords just to improve search engine optimization. This will hinder alt text’s true purpose: improving accessibility. Focus on describing the photo's content. Search engine optimization should not be the goal for writing good alt text.

I keep trying--as silly and queer as my attempts may be--because I want the world to be a bit brighter and better for us all.

Thanks to kind humans everywhere working to make their corner of our world brighter, too ❤️✨️

Transphobes are already targeting the biggest star in women's soccer and baselessly alleging she's a man because she's Black. This is what trans people warned would happen. Gender policing that becomes explicitly racial.

At the beginning of my transition, I stumbled across @valeriehalla.dicot.moe's Goodbye to Halos. It was a lifeline to me, offering me a vision of a life after transition, a world of simple acceptance.

There's something profoundly special about the bits of media that help us see ourselves early on.

Hey #writingstudies and #teamrhetoric folks: do you grapple with unrealistic labor expectations? Ever feel like you are just not enough? This collection argues for the enoughness and power of being "adequate," and it's pretty great!

The part we far too often don't talk about when we finally get the gender-affirming surgeries that we need is how hard recovery is--and I don't mean the physical stuff. Today, on Stained Glass Woman, we're looking at The Other Recovery.

SUCH a key point from #CCCC (paraphrased): trans people are in a constant state of digital diaspora, pushed out of platforms they helped create/shape, & thus constantly ~building~ the internet
