Here’s an oldie that I like and is safe. I read a biography then this happened:
A poem I wrote a couple of years ago: You Can Never Go Home I’m sick of being Josephine — my real name is Rose. When I came to France from Martinique, My flesh and spirit froze. I lived a thousand lives before I ever wore the crown, And transgression is a mortal sin no woman can live down. A thousand lives, a thousand tiny deaths because of him — I wrapped myself aux trois coleurs as if they were my skin. I leave my breath as I left my home (Which was never home again) — And the guillotine chop gives way to the sound of breeze through sugar cane.

He can't fail enough times to be a failure. He can't say enough stupid things to be stupid. The idea of him overshadows any reality. The "christian savior" who doesn't know the bible, the adulterer who fucks stars and steals from charities. It's the promise of the protection of whiteness he represents.
