Game Review: Blue Prince

SPOILERS AHEAD

It's a pretty good puzzle/roguelike game, first and foremost. The balance of room selection, resource gathering & management are nice. The puzzles are generally good, whether they are regular puzzles, or larger meta ones.

Game review: Haste

So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm going to parrot the negative aspects that a lot of reviewers have pointed out. Primarily, that the boss fights get really repetitive and unfun to fight, and that from Shard 7+, the obstacles and land generation feel bad to play.

Pro-tip for anyone on a 30-series card, since no nvidia framegen: AMD FSR Frame Gen is your friend here. 3090 and I can get 85-100fps on almost max settings with full raytracing. Without FSR I was getting between 45-80fps depending on the scene. Friend on a 3080 had similar results -20 fps ish.

I'm liking how GFL2, and GFL by extension, is tying their MSQ into their side stories.

Unlike GBF, where the side stories typically seek to flesh out characters, introduce characters, and develop world building, GFL's stories typically provide critical context for its MSQ.

got gifted a pair of JBL Tour Pro 3 wireless earbuds

neat thing is that, because i built my PC myself, i didn't include bluetooth compatibility. however, these earbuds have an audio transmitter function, allowing me to plug my earbud case into it to, well, transmit audio.

10/10, would recommend

Review: Momodora: Moonlit Farewell
it's a cute, neat game with awesome pixel art/animations, pretty good level design, and satisfying combat.
it's not particularly hard; the synergy you can get, especially defensively, can allow you to legit dps race every boss in the game. 1/2

Jill's a savage... I understand though. Being too good of a friend has its perks :)

With Dorothy's line of work... Even after the explanation, I'm really questioning the need for that tongue mod.

I don't actually remember this happening. Feels nice to be greeted back to the annual playthrough though.
Playing on NG+ just because I don't want to deal with the hassle of money management, although some could argue it's part of the game.

Damn... way to go from 0-100 in an instant.

Also, man, these dog names are really unhinged. So is their dialogue, so I guess that checks out?

Thoughts on GFL2:
Systems to acquire and manage dolls are a lot closer to Neural Network(standard gacha stuff), I miss crafting

Normal mode story quests are easy, as long as you keep up your power level

Hard mode/bosses are just challenging enough to keep it fun while making you sweat
