Hmm Costco just sent a renew membership email. Welp, up to $75 now. It's borderline getting to be not worth it. 90% of the time it was for trips and cheap gas and desserts once a month from the bakery. No more travelling so that's $75 just to access their bakery, meh.

What really bothers me though is people defending the good CBP agents. During the Biden years I felt respected, everything was so straight forward. But then someone like Trump gets back in and the very same agents flip a switch and treat everyone like shit. If they were good ppl, they would quit!

And of course that one time where I asked the first genuinely nice agent at the border a question. She had nothing positive to say about her coworkers. She said most of the time they go on power trips & laugh at ruining people's vacations to pass the time when they got bored. Never saw her again.

Another time I was crossing, I watched an agent pound on the back window of a car and he was screaming his head off demanding it be opened NOW! I was not impressed to say the least when an elderly woman extended her arm out and handed the agent a small piece of an orange. Screaming at the elderly?

I found an old, but working pen lodged in the tracks of the passenger seat. I fished it out, scribbled on some scrap paper, and I signed my passport and drove off. It's the little things like that where being an asshole is a mandatory requirement if you want to work for CBP! Too much to lend a pen!

I remember my parents telling me of the days you could cross the US border & you could say you were looking for a job and they'd let you in. Then Sept 11th & US lied most of the terrorists cane in thru Canada. Then we had to have passports. Now we're being shit on by Trump fees. Allies, yeah right.

It would be kinda nice to have Trump still around as his name is scrubbed off everything he thinks will be his legacy. Knock the ballroom down, truck all the rubbish away and dump it on one of Trump's many golf courses then reconstruct the East Wing and bill his estate for all the work!

I guess this is a bit of the good news to come out of the USA for once, seeing Trump get completely boo'd out by a packed stadium was nice as well. He really is in it only for himself. He continued talking all while being boo'd, it didn't matter to him. We so need to wipe Trump from the lexicon!

Anyone else absolutely fed up with the useless US supreme court? All that fighting for equal rights and for what? What is the point of a system in where things can just be endlessly appealed, overturned, struck down only to be appealed and back to the Supreme Court...and of course it's Davis!
