Notice how they're all at protests with RW themes and they're not carrying a rifle by themselves. That is an entirely different situation compared to one dude OCing a rifle downtown by himself on an otherwise normal day.

The DOD currently issues the Sig P320 which was up until a couple of months ago still selling quite well.
A "weapon of war" could be anything the military issues you. A Remington 700 bolt action rifle is literally a weapon of war.
