I spent like three hours last night painting and carving these fiddlehead mugs and only remembered to take a photo of one of them. Gonna put one in electric and one in soda and the winner goes to my cousin this Christmas

It’s a very volatile process and I picked a glaze that reacts a LOT to the movement of oxygen and level of soda to see what would happen and the answer was, apparently: everything

Also got my final hedgehogpot back, also soda kilned, and I've decided I really do like the geometric quill pattern the most, BUT, next time, I'm gonna dunk him in a quick crackle dip like the middle lad

absolutely fascinated with how this came out, because there is NO glaze on this bad boy, he went into the soda kiln and the natural properties of the soda and oxygen reduction made him completely shiny as if he'd been dipped in a clear glaze. Also the grog gave him freckles :)

My little back porch garden probably won’t get much better than this this year, but as someone who has always been a categorically shit gardener, I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

So I’ve got one (possible) mutant tomato (that’s supposed to be a yellow varietal not pink) and one set of cosmic are also turning pink
This might be due to me having four varietals cross breeding Willy Billy but I expected that for next year??? Also I have no deliberately red tomatoes!!!

Keep looking at my tomatoes and smiling. At last my cosmic purples are ripening THEYVE BEEN ON THE VINE SO LONG (Forgot that they have the longest time to maturity in my garden…. 75 days in the pot compared to 60….)

Hovering over my sungold tomatoes as they ripen. Very exciting since I’ve never really successfully grown a crop veggie never mind from seed.
