I can see why you like it so! Blazing Saddles was definitely the superior satire film of his run.
I find myself liking much of Gene’s work the more I see him on screen, quite honestly, even if Young Frankenstein gave him more to do than Blazing Saddles did.

I’m not necessarily on a Brooks run but after Young Frankenstein and everything I’d heard about this film, I’d hoped for something better. This was not it.
In retrospect, maybe credit re: Young Frankenstein really goes to the excellent Gene Wilder.
