Don't know if police in your area are collaborating with ICE? Check our map at aclusc.org/287g

The SC Department of Public Safety recently entered a 287(g) Task Force agreement with ICE, meaning that Highway Patrol officers can effectively act as ICE agents.

Reduce risk to yourself:

✔️ Stay calm. Don't resist or obstruct officers.

✔️ Don't lie or give false documents.

✔️ Prepare yourself & your family in case you are arrested. Memorize the phone numbers of your family and your lawyer. Make emergency plans if you have children or take medication.

If you are stopped by police or ICE, you have the right to remain silent.

If you are detained, you have the right to consult a lawyer.

You do not have to answer questions about where you were born, whether you are a US citizen, or how you entered the country.
