Right now it looks like they made a video about not obeying illegal orders, and the president losing his shit over something that’s entirely reasonable. This has actually been fairly effective, even in the state run media.

If you file impeachment over this then the whole thing just looks like a political game of trying to bait the president into losing his cool. Even worse, it looks like you’re using members of the military as pawns to accomplish that.

I think the point is that we should do YIMBY things, but that’s not going to make suburbs disappear, it might not even reduce the numbers of them significantly.

The difference with those two is that they see their personal projects as bringing improvement to their countries as well. Trump doesn’t really give a shit what happens to America, as long as he gets a payday out of it.

They want violent criminals deported, an asylum process for the ones that “deserve” it, and a murky gray area for everyone else. I have obvious criticisms for this but most people think it worked.

I’d agree with this, but I also don’t go on my discover feed. I also pretty specifically use Bluesky as my political outlet so that Reddit and TikTok can be escapes from politics.

When TikTok went dark I spent a few days trying to get Shorts to work for the 20 minutes I spend on short form video here and there but I could never get it to work, it kept trying to feed me stuff that matched my YouTube, but the kind of stuff I watch there is much different than short form prefs.

It’s also how that racism actually manifests. A racist guy in states island sees a group of young black men and gives them the stink eye, maybe crosses the street, and maybe makes a Nextdoor post about it. In the south it might end up in a literal lynch mob.
