Vectorized pixel icons for two "fantasy console" apps, which I've redrawn in the Papirus icon style for UNIX-like operating systems and other Linuxes. They're expanded to a large size in an applications browser app: this is the 64 pixel size. A fantasy console is an app you can write games for, and distribute them without having to worry about real hardware. Usually the visual style and deliberate limitations make the games resemble late 8-bit or early 16-bit era consoles with quite low specs, but freed from colour and sprite limitations. They often come with a cute built-in editor, a way of embedding game programs and graphics into a small image file, and a website to distribute such "cartridges" on and let people play them. These icons are for two of the most well known. The first one is for the TIC-80 console. It shows a little toylike computer that resembles an early Mac, but in a calming and clean looking sky-blue plastic case. It is anthropomorphised, with friendly square eyes on its screen, and a big grin for its cartridge/disk slot. It waves at you with little arm that resembles a cable. Hello! The second icon is for the PICO-8 console. It uses the developers' own logo, a very colourful pixelated diamond, five squares tall and wide. Around its pinkish-white interior is a rainbow of eight pixels. The colours in each icon echo the default palette on each system. They have equal billing. They are friends!
