Imagining a world where the Rio Grande electrifies the Narrow Gauge Circle and it becomes the american version of the Rhätische Bahn

So I guess we should shut down the Pink Line as well? Since it also duplicates a higher capacity service. They serve similar numbers of people. And we should get rid of the south side express buses, since they duplicate Metra Electric right?

Also another one no one else has said is 181st Street on the 1. IIRC one of the few old subway stations only accessible by elevators because of how deep it is.

As far as I'm aware, the Stadler trains are fully compliant with crashworthyness standards. The waiver they received was for other elements of the trains, such as different emergency brake handle design, track brakes, and lack of some exterior grab irons.

The train that picked us up at Western was also in very poor shape. Cars 5 and 6 in the train were closed off and the operator was making announcements to not try to board those cars. The 7th car also had a green light on.

We were let in just in time to see the train at the platform depart with no passengers, so we went up to the platform to wait for the next train, only to be told that the station was now closed once again and to get back on the bus to go... somewhere. No one actually said where the bus would go (2/?

I was on the last Shuttle Bus from Kimball, we got kicked off the bus at Kedzie and told to board a train there, only to find the doors locked so we couldn't board the train to the Loop. The shuttle driver actually left the bus and came over to the station to get the attendant to let us in, (1/?)

Mexico had a number of double fairlies, designated the R class. The R3's (built in 1911 by Vulcan) were the last and largest of them, and the largest and most powerful fairlies ever built at 59k lbs of tractive effort.
