Gerard Butler as 'Dracula' from the film Dracula 2000, which was a fucking shit film where they decided to pull a BIG BULLSHIT TWIST in it where Dracula was secretly Judas Iscariot the whole time which is immensely dumb, and gave me a headache, and was so stupid and such a bad film it broke my ability to enjoy films uncritically.

for no specific reason I feel a need to highlight that I think Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" has some of the best album cover art of all time.

I haven't started on HRT yet, mostly because I have a medical phobia, but also because I'm legit worried about getting my name on any medical records about it. It's some real bullshit, but I am really scared. I'm going through some shit. I hope you, dear reader, are having a better time. But it's likely that you're not. That's ok. You live the life you have to live, you hear me? We all have to get by somehow. I trust you to know what you need, and what's best for you, even if it's not the best life you could possibly have. Because how could any of us have a best life right now, know what I mean? Also if you haven't watched Andor yet, now's a really fucking good time. It's not like it has an answer for all of this, but it sees us all right now. If that's too deep for you, let your brain melt to mush watching Taskmaster. They do full episodes on YouTube now. It's good, funny, stupid shit.

This is the bit that's been killing me for a while now. The military has always been dependent in part on "offering a way out" for people in what they thought were bad, jobless, no prospect situations. It's why both my grandfathers joined up. But thats all in freefall, now.

Two years ago, Thorn, then seventeen, visited an Army recruiting station weighing three hundred and five pounds. Thorn told me she was raised by her grandmother. Her father, a meth addict, was in prison for armed robbery, and her mother, who gave birth to her at the age of twenty, was unable to care for her. Thorn told me that she had struggled with weight her whole life. “I ate chips and played Call of Duty all day long,” she said. Then her best friend joined the Navy, and Thorn saw a way to escape. “I didn’t want the life that was in store for me, living paycheck to paycheck, stuck in the small-town life,” she said.
