That's so interesting. His name in Kanji means Protector of Earth. I guess that bit is lost in translation. The image of Earth and Moon holding hands and spinning in space adds so much romanticism to the story. It's one of the reasons I'm an astrophysics nerd.

It was a pretty confusing show for children to be sure. It took me way too long to understand the joke of him showing up and does nothing.

All that's to say, everything about this pair of chicken dolphins are the perfect summary of the city of Guangzhou and the Great Bay Area: It is cute. It's beautiful. But most importantly, it's crazy.

I'm starting to realize why I date the people I date. 🤔

She also created an anthropomorphic version of the Canton Tower, a Great Bay landmark. The tower is often called the Slim Waist. It's elegantly designed but flashy AF, a massive RGB tower.

During the Nation Games, it even shot lasers every night like that scene from Shin Godzilla.

Anyway, in my opinion, the most wholesome bit is the fan arts. Here is a design from artist Fiodo on RedNote.

As it turns out, the chickens were, like, the first ever National Games mascots that are even remotely marketable...

Bro, the 2017 mascot gets worse the longer you stare at it.
Talk about an abyss that stares back.

The reason they are called chickens is because the area has two signature dishes called "White Chicken" and "Soy Sauce Chicken".
For some inexplicably reasons, the chickens became super popular. I was there in China, and saw people lining up outside the shops waiting to buy their plushies.

Nope. Though I can always ask a friend to get one for me. It's more like I just want to get one before the price shoots through the sky. I doubt I'll get much use out of them.

I can get an EX-Z40 in China for about 40 bucks Canadian, still. Although I don't anticipate it staying that way for long.
My only point-and-shoot at the moment is an RX100 IV and that might as well be a pro camera by comparison.

Every year I go back for a visit and have to take a poop, it's always a battle between life and death.

I've seen that one! It's kinda chunni cringe, but not outlandishly funny.
It's a good jumping off point to talk about the Post-COVID decline of S.Korean Cinema, though.

I couldn't find much information on this. The one I saw is either 24 or 25. But the 60fps version also appears to be an official release. I guess it was made with high frame rate in mind.

Oh boy, you see... it all began with this thing called the California Gold Rush, and then the century of humiliation, WWI, the roaring twenties, American movies, WWII, Communist Government, Cultural Revolution, Chinese-US Honey Moon, even more American movies, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and yeah...
