I’ve been meaning to get back onto this app lately. What better reason than to wish everyone happy holidays! I’ll start sharing some new artwork here after I get past Covid. Hope you are all doing well! 🧡

I've wanted to paint nature studies outdoors for #PleinAirpril, but strong winds/rain + cold temps had other ideas and local parks flooded out! I'm hoping to finally get out a bit when it warms up and dries out more next week. I'm studio-bound for now.

How is it going for everyone else?

I signed up for a #Pixelfed art account on gram.social/@acailawenart, plus accounts on mastodon.art & mstdn.social. IMHO, Bluesky is easier to use, but I prefer being on multiple platforms and they're NOT Meta or X! I do love Pixelfed's design! It reminds me of Instagram before Meta ruined it. You?

What social media actually needs is more feminine and non-binary energy. We have enough "masculine energy" already! So glad to finally be on a couple of social media platforms run by women! I love the energy here!

Looking forward to making Bluesky and Cara my homes on social media in 2025! 💛🙌

I never minded ImagineFX publishing the materials I contributed over the years in special themed volumes or sketchbooks because it was of some help to me, but training AI no way. No artist will want to contribute anymore.

This is why I'll share my artwork here soon. I won't on Meta's platforms while it disrespects artists and other creatives by hoovering up our work to train its AI without our consent. I pulled 15+ years of work from them for a reason. Well done,

Balancing time between creating 2d art and learning 3D software is challenging, but It'll be nice to incorporate 3D models into my digital art workflow when it suits a given project. It won't help much on those days I'm bent over my illustration desk with a plate of gouache though! 😆🙃 #artistlife

Hilarious! I keep getting posts for blenders in my game art feeds. Uh, a Vitamix is not the same thing as #Blender software! I'm pretty sure that it has no use in game development... outside of making a smoothie while you're working on one!

Our community college is now among many schools to cut programs in animation, photography, audio production, architectural technology, and even computer security due to generative AI. Despite what tech bros say, the plan to replace human creativity with "prompt engineering" is well underway. #noAI

Meta wants to force its genAI garbage down our throats on every platform it owns. The same goes for X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, et. al. Looks like I should spend more time here on Bluesky Social. I don't want this trash in my feeds. I see too much of it already. Any of it is too much!

I recently started diving into Autodesk Maya and Maxon ZBrush. Using the TourBox w/ ZBrush seems fairly common. Does no one use it with Maya? It's much faster to trigger the most used shortcuts and only use the keyboard as needed. Guess I'm a trendsetter. 😆 #3dmodeling

I officially closed down my "X" account today. Exposing users IP addresses via a voice calls feature that they didn't agree to and can only opt out of on mobile isn't ok. I'm not downloading an app I don't want on my phone just to opt out. #goodbyeX

Where has this been all my life? I just invested in a TourBox Neo after my Huion Mini Keydial remote malfunctioned. What an upgrade! This may be one of the best pieces art tech that I’ve ever owned. Now all I need is for an iOS utility to use it with my M1 iPad Pro and it will be perfect!
