Gator Grips Gloves, Rare (requires attunement) Looking like incredibly well preserved alligator heads, these gloves are actually made from a thick and durable leather that fits well on the hand allowing for full range of motion while presenting an intimidating appearance. Sharpened teeth have been set into the mouths of the heads that encompass these gloves. During combat, they occasionally make an unnerving hissing sound that is ultimately harmless, but incredibly alarming. While attuned to these gloves, your unarmed strikes gain a +1 bonus to their attack and damage rolls. Additionally, they deal magical piercing damage instead of bludgeoning. When you attempt to grapple a creature while attuned to these gloves, you gain a +1 bonus to your Strength (Athletics) check. While you have a creature grappled, you can use a bonus action on your turn to attempt a Strength (Athletics) check against the target’s AC. If you succeed, the jaws of the alligator heads pull the creature off-balance, knocking it prone. If you fail, the creature is released from your grapple as the jaws lose their grip.

Kintsugi Plate Armor, Legendary There is beauty to be found in things that have once broken, but have now been made whole again. An ancient tradition of repairing broken pottery using lacquer mixed with powdered gold, it appears that this plate armor was pieced back together after it was once shattered. The golden seams of this piece now teem with magic, ready to break and rebuild anew. You have a +3 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. While wearing this armor, when you are targeted by a melee or ranged weapon attack you can use a reaction to quickly move causing the armor to take the brunt of the strike. When you do so, the attack still hits, but deals no damage to you. You still must make any saves against conditions or additional effects. Each time you use this ability, lower the bonus to AC that this magic armor provides by 1 as pieces of the armor chip away. The armor magically repairs itself daily at dawn returning to its full +3 bonus. Sacrifice. Once per day during your turn, you can use an action to cause this armor to shatter into 4 separate pieces. Choose up to 4 creatures, which can include yourself, within 120 feet of you to protect. For the next 10 minutes, a piece of the armor magically floats around them attempting to deflect attacks. Each creature gains a +2 bonus to AC for as long as the piece of armor floats near them. While shattered, the armor provides no additional benefits to you. After 10 minutes, the armor reforms on your body returning its benefits.

We've been super open about it from the start that this TTRPG scene just doesn't have the dosh to be full time.

Both of us work full time normal jobs and also have partners that work full time. TTRPGs are and will always be the fun side gig for us. The extra money is nice, but it doesn't go far.

Lamplighter Flail, Rare This flail has a spiked lantern mounted to the end of its chain where one would normally expect a heavy ball of steel. The handle is adorned with two hung banners bearing the mark of the Lamplighters. Though they started as simple servants lighting the candles and lanterns of darkened castles, they eventually grew into some of the nobility’s most trusted protectors. With their modified flails serving both practical and combat oriented purposes, those who carry their banner bring light to the darkest corners where evil may reside. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magical weapon. This flail has two states that can be changed between by twisting the handle using a bonus action. The first state is darkened. When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon while it is darkened, they become covered in a sticky, flammable oil. The oil persists for 1 minute or until the creature immerses themselves in water. There is enough oil in the lantern to coat three creatures before it must be refilled using an action. Each pint of oil poured into the lantern is enough to coat one creature. The second state is illuminated. While illuminated, the lantern sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. While illuminated, when you hit a creature that has previously been covered in oil with an attack, they are set ablaze in a ball of bright flame taking 3d8 fire damage instantly and 1d6 fire damage at the end of their turn for the next 1 minute. If the creature uses an entire turn to go prone and roll or if they immerse themselves fully in water, they stop taking fire damage at the end of their turn. Flutter ITEM 11 Rare, Invested, Magical Price 1,200 gp Usage worn cloak; Bulk L Beautiful flowing wings resembling that of a butterfly form the basis of this cloak that wraps closely around the body of the creature who dons it. Rippling in shifting shades of pink, purple, and blue, it is obvious that this cloak is crafted from a special weave of magically infused silk that seems especially light and airy to the touch, but is also incredibly resistant to normal forms of bladed and blunt weapons. Activate [R] manipulate; Frequency Once per hour; Trigger You take damage from a non-magical source; Effect You cover yourself in the cloak, shielding you from the triggering strike. You reduce the amount of damage taken by an amount equal to your character level. Activate [2] manipulate, envision; Frequency Once per day; Effect You pull the cloak tightly around yourself, becoming cocooned within it. For the next 1 minute, or until you use one action on your turn to dismiss your speed is set to 0 and you cannot use actions or reactions. As long as the cocoon is intact, you cannot be harmed. The cocoon has Hardness 10, 60 HP, and a Broken Threshold of 28. After 1 minute, when you dismiss the cocoon, or when the cocoon becomes broken, the cloak unfurls into wings behind your back and casts fly on you, granting you the benefits of that spell for the next 5 minutes.

Judging by the TTRPG industry's swing toward "cozy" the last few years, I'd expect a shift back the other way soon where we start getting more "uncomfy" games.

Personally I'm excited for "Wet Socks & Floor Lego" to pop off.

I've been marketing adjacent for 17 years in my career and writing marketing content actually comes easily to me.

Something folks forget a lot is that you need to tell people the value you're offering and that needs to be more than "I made this". Explain how your thing makes their games better.
