Anyways, I've been reading the Bible lately and it has opened my eyes to a lot of stuff about the nature of humanity and reality.

That is to say that there is paradise in this world for those who live righteously.

I don't get to live there, but in my heart I know it's true.

There's no guidebook to modern life, and I'm facing a crossroads that only a few million have probably ever faced, so I'm grateful and respectful of that.

But sometimes it just feels like I'm stuck in my hole, like in that Junji Ito story. There's no way out but forward, and forward hurts.

That's kind of why I've just muted myself.

Like, I put out yet another risqué song, it got some attention.

Is that satisfying anymore?

No.

There are so many people doing it crazier and better than I could've imagined. The scene is healthy without my contributions.

There was a time in my life when people really cared about what I had to say.

That simply isn't how it is anymore.

And when you get used to feeling like you matter, and that reality is stripped away over the years, you end up really wounded and directionless.
