I'll be honest. At this point I don't think it can be saved. Not in the form it currently is. The axe has been wielded too wildly, and too much road has been paved to enable even more shifting of wealth. The restructuring can't just be a presidency. It has to be systemic.

Getting a warrant involves a judge. The judge will ask "What reason do you have to demand access", and most of them will fail to provide a legally sound reason. Because they HAVE no legal reason to demand access to your phone.

It absolutely can. Thermal runaway can easily happen due to a short. And if you bend the hell out of a phone the wrong way? Yes, you most certainly can cause a short that could overheat the battery fast enough to start a thermal runaway.

No. We do not sully the peace price just because your authoritarian regime doesn't want to comply with its own laws. This problem is entirely of your own making. Don't ask us for a fix.

That's not how GDPR requests work. You get *your* data. As for third party processing - Bluesky is a federation service. Any third party can connect to the federation stream and view all the content you post, in real time.

This is turning feathers into chickens.

To top it all off with some knowledge, why not try your hand at jerky? Monte Burch has you covered with his burc.. er, book.

You're welcome.

And let's not forget The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, which got an entire movie not too long ago!
April 30, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Sure. Let's start out with John Lindow's Excellent Trolls: An unnatural History from 2014. 1/3

Not the king, and most certainly not a quote from the King of Norway. Although he certainly has a sharp sense of humor, this is not something he would say, well-deserved or not.

This is a bullshit post.

Like all insidious things, it crept out of the darkness, slowly. Back in the 80s, we were shining lights in search of them to root them out still. Being fascist was asking for a kicking.

But when you drive them into hiding, all they're doing is waiting for a chance to slip back out into the open.

An object lesson on how to not do government.
April 11, 2025 at 5:16 PM
At this point, probably a better investment than the stock market anyways.
April 6, 2025 at 9:21 PM
As an aside, where DO people get an authorization to commit crimes?
March 27, 2025 at 8:43 PM
What I choose to put in my bio or not has no bearing on the matter. If you can't face up to criticism from even just another voice in the masses, you may want to consider your stance rather than the source.
March 20, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Really? You are going to point your finger at the people who already have served, and done their part, and ask why THEY aren't acting? Sure. Keep pushing the responsibility onto other people. That is how you got where you are in the first place. The buck stops with YOU now. Fucking act like it.
March 18, 2025 at 8:09 AM
They have served their terms. Where the fuck are you? Why aren't YOU on the barricades at this point, taking responsibility for the direction of YOUR country? Stop shouting for someone to act, when the onus to do so is on YOU.
March 18, 2025 at 8:03 AM
They won't do with you as they please. They will keep stretching the rubber band until it breaks, and their nation crumbles around them. They might at some point TRY. But that will be as much an end to it as the collapse from inside.

Canada is made of stronger stuff than that.

You are going to have soooo many print screen screenshots at the end of that session.
March 15, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Are you trying to nail your own coffin shut with that headline? This is a fast ticket to the blocklist.
February 28, 2025 at 9:58 PM
This one belongs on the blocklist. Unsourced, unreliable information. There are no credible news sources for this, beyond the significant cuts into federal budgets for research.

Are people seriously grabbing the pitchforks without even reading the ingress? Delta is paying this out as an immediate compensation (as they are obliged to do), without restricting future claims. They're playing this by the book, and doing the right thing. Stop being angry about people doing right.

Well, it took four weeks to reach Hungary levels of illiberal 'democracy'. Most of the rest of us don't expect you to stop there.
Congratulations, you have speed-run the collapse of the Great Experiment.

Just try to not drag the rest of the world with you into the dark ages you're aiming for.
