What a grand day at the #RCSLT Scotland day. Delighted to be a part of this inspiring profession.  @sarahheatley.bsky.social & I shared the work we've been doing with collaborators in Dundee to create a communication accessible city.

I'm delighted that the wonderful Nicole Campbell has been awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) in the King's New Year’s honours list. This award recognises Nicole's considerable work for and services to people with #aphasia as a trustee for the Tavistock Trust for Aphasia. Magic.

Here's a strong Easter parade look from a couple of years ago.

A happy story!
Having a #LimbDifference means I usually need to buy two pairs of shoes-leaving me out of pocket and with two spare odds.
Today, I bought an odd pair for the price of just one pair! My first ever Doc Martens.

Can we use an #Alexa device to support #aphasia therapy?
Here's a poster summary of some work I presented yesterday the the Bristol Aphasiology Society conference in Leicester.

One person practised successfully for 5 weeks and made a significant improvement in naming ability. A second participant tried the therapy for one week and then discontinued because of frustration with the speech recognition.
