I have been affiliated with DoD most of my adult working life, save for 9 years I stayed home to raise my son. A mentor is retiring from service and had handwritten notes for all attendees and this key ring. Federal employees do great work, even under the current chaos. I am honored to serve w/them.

Rocks in the new tumble, stage one. These are mostly reddish rocks. The 1.5 tumblers are this week’s rocks in their last stage of tumbling. I’m trying to refocus on my hobbies and not let the chaos of working adjacent to the DoD and the politics of the day as an empath consume me. Rough week.

Ruby spam. She is definitely not learning how to read social cues in daycare. She’s fearless and always looking for playmates-whether you’re interested or not, she will continue to pursue you. This is harder than raising a human. 🤦🏽♀️

I’m still tumbling rocks. Pic one is week two and pic two is week three. I added to my 3 lb tumbler set up and purchased a 1.5 lb tumbler with three drums. I can tumble more rocks, but smaller ones. I think this will work until I figure out a set up to have a new set of completes everyweek.
