i truly adore that maomao is so silly sometimes bc that truly makes her even more cat-coded than a lot of cat-coded characters
bc like yeah it's understandable to make cat-coded characters more calm and aloof but also real life cats are sometimes quite silly and like to eat stuff they shouldn't

And without any kind of consequences or penalty for these types of horrible actions (like the ai dub from amazon) against both creators and the fans all they have to do is go Oops and then try again. We need laws that make it hurt them and have some kind of risk for every attempt they make.
