The @deathpenaltyinfo.org names 201 persons exonerated who had been death sentenced. Executing innocent persons is a primary reason for Bert Mutersbaugh's opposing the death penalty. Gallup's October 2025 polling finds support for the death penalty waning, at its lowest since 1994.

Dr. Rademacher began to study about the death penalty after hearing Sr. Helen Prejean. Her Catholic faith also influenced here strongly in concluding the use of the death penalty is wrong.

Mary Alice Pratt was a well-known member of the Lexington KY peace and justice community. She volunteered for years in the effort to abolish the death penalty before her death in 2012. In this brief video she reveals her family suffered the loss of two members to murder. @8thamendment.org
