Ever since I wrote this piece after the election, organizations reach out to like "do you have time to talk about what we can do to support progressive creators?" I reply: I don't need an hour, they need money. Full stop. That's what we need. And just like that these orgs vanish!

Last weekend I shared a photo of these cliffs in calmer weather. I’m here now, teaching a workshop. The light has been amazing, but this is from a few years ago, as I don’t carry a camera when teaching. Just thought some might enjoy the contrast with the one I shared before. More info in alt text.

I thought I’d do an introduction post as it seems the way on here. I’m a professional photographer specializing in the ocean and the coast it carves. I’m lucky to be represented by some good galleries. I also teach workshops. I’ve been full-time for 9 years now - went fast!

I’m conscious so many people are feeling anxious or angry. It’s because you care. It’s because you have heart and empathy for your fellow citizens. Take comfort from knowing you are not alone, and collectively we can create good in this world. Small to begin with, but it will grow. Rest well. 😊

“Human flourishing” has long been on my list of bullshit terms wrt AI - some memed Aristotle and it became the bullshit term of AI ethics - but now it’s a right wing dog whistle.
