Black seeded simpson that volunteered in this planter! It’s beautiful! And this inspires me to try to dormant seed this and other greens this fall for an early harvest next spring.

I know it’s barely mid-March in zone 6a and this is known by some as ’Fool’s Spring’ because it tricks us into thinking Winter has ended.
I prefer ‘Spring of Hope’ because these warm snaps wake everything up and bring a little hope that there might actually be an end to Winter.
