Just finished reading Piranesi by Susanna Clarke.
I rate it 5 stars.
The story did everything I've ever wanted from a speculative fiction novel. I won't be getting rid of the statue ridden dreams anytime soon.

I'm reading Cormac McCarthy's Child of God, because I've been feeling like I need to read more of him, and the other three books of him that I have, I've already read.

Apologies for the disappearance, my 30-something followers. I've been dealing with plagues and floods. I must've tried God's patience a little too hard there.
Got sick with Covid last month and then all hell broke loose when my country got hit with floods.

I've got scaly dermatitis thingy on my palms for some months now. It's almost as if my hands are cursed to have one thing or another going on. First it was short joint arthritis, and now this.

I wake up and there is the taste of ale in my mouth.
I was at an inn in my sleep where Dandelion sang and strummed, Elminster nodded his head to the tune, Kvothe served drinks from behind the counter, Strider sat in the far corner, eyes lit in the pipe's glow.

I've been quite sick past couple of days. It's hard to be sick and to juggle your responsibilities, especially near the end of the month, with rent, utilities, and everything else due. haha.
But today, I wrote a couple thousand words. So, things are looking up.
