Having worked in Baltimore and after visiting there last month, I noticed an appreciable uptick in the number of pedestrians crossing the streets wherever and whenever. Had to brake three times for impaired folks. Cannot imagine Waymo working well in the chaos.

The only way to sell this to the public is to implement a phased-in approved over time, making it first available to ages 60-65, then 55-60, etc. It will never have public buy in if it is implemented all at once. Phase out high priced private health insurance (and executives) to save big $$$
