In an official statement, the spokesperson for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Muhammad Khurasani, denied involvement in the killings of Shia community members in Kurram and urged dialogue to resolve the conflict, offering the TTP’s support in facilitating negotiations to end sectarian tensions.

In Pakistan’s tribal district of Kurram, an attack on a convoy of Shia passengers resulted in the deaths of nearly 40 civilians and left over a dozen injured. Since 2023, there have been ongoing attempts to incite sectarian violence in Kurram, which has now escalated into severe bloodshed. 1/4
