Dr. Ramona Burress shares her metastatic breast cancer journey at @acscan.bsky.social #CancerNationalForum. Her inspiring msg of self-advocacy and reminder, “You are worthy” is resonant. But she also noted the imperative for the health care system to better listen to patients.

🚨The House is expected to vote on a bill this week that would decimate #Medicaid, which provides lifesaving health coverage to 80 million people in America, including cancer patients & survivors.

With a number of cancers that still don't have reliable early detection tools, exciting to see Congress come together to prioritize a pathway to coverage of innovation in multi-cancer early detection. Willing Congress to finish the job and pass the year-end CR in short order!
Thrilled to see language based on the #MCEDAct included in text of the year-end health care package!

This bill creates a pathway for access to early detection for people with Medicare—which is critical because the risk of cancer increases with age.

We urge swift passage. bit.ly/3ZZCIQe

We had the opportunity to have the first tobacco-free generation. The dangers of these products have already left their mark. Creatively named flavors aren't meant to attract adults. They are meant to addict the next generation of consumers. SCOTUS should uphold lower court decisions upholding MDOs.
