I’ve finally perfected the casually tied velvet bow using the bitchiest, hardest to tie ribbon ever made: frayed velvet. Anyway the rest of y’all can go home, can’t tell me nothing, etc.

I dragged the old 5D from storage last time I was in New Orleans, and it’s wild to see how much better the photos look without Apple’s TERRIBLE and MANDATORY automatic filters. I’m out of practice for sure and the ease of instant filters has degraded my eye, but so what? Onward to glory!

First weekend in the books! It was rainy sunny cold beautiful joyful, the house full of people having one more slice of king cake, with surprise new friends and beloved old ones in the mix, and someone who was NOT carrying all them hula hoops to the car. Gonna do it all again starting tomorrow. 💜💛💚
