I gave the app a 1⭐ review on the app store because of it and the creator replied and said I should blame the site they scraped the book from. No accountability at that site, either, claiming offsite links. Hope ppl enjoy their free book without an understanding of the indie author lived experience!

Absolutely same. I added many new words and officially counted none since they were all dispersed throughout the text, but all the words totally counted, either way!

Yeah but not in 11th Century Normandy sorry. I imagine there was a Scot on one of the ships with the last name Gordon, and one of his descendants had a son they named Gordon, but since it takes too long to say two syllables without spit freezing your lips in a Canadian winter, Gord became common.
