"He wanted to look but at the same time he felt disgust & held back. For a time he struggled & covered his eyes. Then desire got the better of him. He rushed over & forced his eyes wide open, saying 'There you are, curse you. Have a really good look. Isn’t it a lovely sight?'"

Also the tone of the author of the piece in her comment replies reads like a private PR team? Just weird all around. (I was gratified to see the comments digging in to the actual quality of the books themselves. The buyers are readers, even if the publisher doesn’t seem to treat them like it.)

I regret to inform you that they are absolutely amazing, and probably worth the wait, but go at 9am on a weekday for zero line.

The face then reassures. To men, even though she may be in a position of visible authority (Bondi, Noem, etc), it’s allowed because she clearly contorts herself to serve their norms. And to women, this is the price; you must abandon self to enjoy advantage in this system.

What’s wilder is they see anyone with artistic success and ability as an elite, because EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO ARTISTIC SKILL even without umm any work.

Losing all tolerance and taste for alcohol is a widely-reported post-Covid symptom so it makes sense we’re seeing it on a massive scale.

Yes! Not engaging with sex also meant we didn’t engage with DESIRE, which is such a fertile post-menopause topic! And also what the original show was great at.

Most people just have a vague sense of her as being famous. They don’t understand that any protocols that would cause emergency landing would get triggered before boarding even finished.

I love a fritter! Chopped green onion, herbs, a light batter, throw on some flaky salt when they’re still hot…

But I’ve heard expert writers discuss sex scenes without once tying it to desire, too, which really frustrates me. What a person desires sexually (or not!), how they pursue that, whether or not it’s fulfilled is a HUGE part of human behavior!!
