i think an ideal version of the center left is one that can facilitate conversations between all sides of the big tent, not one that gets decides who to ignore bc it's politically expedient at any given moment

it might not be strictly optimal for winning the next election (or it might, who knows) but it's essential to actually building up a political culture where we can talk to eachother.

especially because like, this sort of thing is essential to what klein claims to want to do (and i believe him): big tent coalition politics, talking to people we disagree with.

that's unwise, but i woud still prefer to eat unseasoned airfryer chicken to unseasoned hotpot chicken i think it's good white people at least know their limits
