Another fun fact, the California giant salamander is one of only a few species of salamanders that can vocalize. They chirp/ soft bark.

The giant salamanders are big & have mottling sort of like a leopard. Newts tend to be much smaller, reddish/brownish color that is solid though some have lighter colors on the underside. This is just what I know from northern California newts, so it may vary by location.

We've previously towed out #FedEx because of bad directions. Luckily, we didn't need a tow this time, just a lot of 3-point turns.
