Reports suggest Evening Grosbeaks are making an early-season push, so now’s the time to watch and listen for these big, bold finches.

Tips for detecting:

• Listen for their bright, ringing “peer!” calls.
• Fill and check feeders with black oil sunflower seed especially.

Took a picture of myself birding in my new @aba.org bird of the year hoodie and knit beanie, and all I see are my flaws and insecurities. I had a really great morning birding though. I saw a Lifer brant at a city park thanks to my lovely local birding community. It was amazing. ❤️
