This seems extremely critical of the Military industrial complex. When ennis is talking about Vietnam the point is that vought is a shit company and superhero would be nothing during war but he’s not pro Vietnam

Trail of tears, Natt the hatt, Howe from punisher max, dreaming eagle come to mind. Even things like Punisher Born or Valley Forge are far more willing to break up systemic racism and center the conversation on black characters than most of his edgy contemparies

Part of the joke of the boys which is worth diving into is that Ennis intentionally leans into stereotypes to mock how they are written. It’s not something clear fully but I think the fact that he’s written normal black people in other books suggestions that Ennis is trying to something in the boys

Except the author of Exmachina disagrees. The boys comics has far more criticism of the military industrial complex and its tied corporations than anything in Ex machina

Actually I missed the big question, does sincerity factor into the equation, mainly in relation to Kirby’s creation of Captain America with Kirby Serving in WWII. More war stories outside of europe? Have you play any video games you’ve written? Canceled ghost rider series? The darkness crossover?

I need someone to ask him about Dan Dare, and compared to the other works where ennis deconstructs a lot of genre tropes why he decided to go the direction he did with Dan Dare. Also working with John Woo. Also any interest in Punisher 2099 . Also the Nam. Also can you kill off storm force please
