I’m not a fan of his at all, but with a less cynical reading he’s right in a macro sense - the ratio of working people to elderly/retired is completely flipping, and the social supports we rely on stop working when there are fewer workers to support us, aka, the kids we have now.

This is a bizarre take: automating most of the work your firm does…makes more room at the top? This is really not how it’s going to go - what you’re seeing is a services firm become a software firm - one requires a lot of labor…the other does not.

I'm not saying it's anyone's fault - but elections, by nature, can go either way. When one of the options might have civilizational consequences, it raises the stakes a bit more than I'd like, that's all. I wish having two good options to choose from didn't sound unreasonable.
